As new threats suggest that Rome could declare schismatic not only the bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X, but all of its priests, religious, and faithful, we, Catholics attached to the Tradition of the Church, wish to publicly express our support for the episcopal consecrations intended to ensure the transmission of the priesthood and the survival of the work heroically begun by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.

We affirm the following

We believe everything that the Catholic Church has always believed, taught, and transmitted. We have neither removed nor added a single comma to the faith received at our baptism. It is precisely because we wish to remain faithful to this faith that we hold to the Mass of all time, the catechism of all time, and the doctrine taught by Christ and transmitted by the Church for two thousand years.

The consecrations do not proceed from any desire for rupture or from any ambition. They respond to a necessity: without bishops to ordain priests and confer the sacraments, we would condemn ourselves, and also our children, to no longer receive the doctrine and sacraments, as these are generally perverted in the Conciliar Church. Providing for this continuity is not an act of revolt, but a duty of fidelity.

A canonical qualification, however severe it may be, changes nothing about reality: one does not lose the faith of one's baptism by decree. We were Catholics yesterday, we are Catholics today, and we will remain so tomorrow. Let them label us as schismatics if Rome deems it fit: this word changes nothing about the reality of things.

If this injustice is scandalously obvious to everyone, it is in reality desirable; it becomes the line of demarcation between the Catholic Church which maintains the Faith of all time, and this Conciliar Church which wishes to excommunicate it while she herself embraces the enemies of the world with open arms.

If such is the will of Pope Leo to excommunicate the bishops of the SSPX, then I, a faithful Catholic, ask for excommunication from this Conciliar and Synodal Church, to which in any case I do not belong and which perverts everything, including Faith and morals.

Therefore, by signing this petition:

— I express my filial and grateful support to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and to the bishops who ensure the continuity of the Catholic priesthood;

— I reject any accusation of schism brought against those who profess only the integral Catholic faith;

— I hold the line of demarcation between the faith of all time and the Conciliar and Synodal Church to be necessary and salutary, and I declare that I recognize no part in that which deviates from Catholic faith and morals;

— I pledge to remain attached to the Mass of all time, the catechism of all time, and the faith of all time, and to pray for the Church and for her pastors.

“We transmit what we have received.”
